How to Make Perfect Sambar at Home

Sambar is the heart of every South Indian meal. With the right sambar powder, you can recreate restaurant-quality sambar in your own kitchen.

Start by pressure-cooking toor dal until soft. In a separate pan, sauté onions, tomatoes, and vegetables of your choice. Add tamarind extract and our Yugan Heritage Sambar Powder — about 2 tablespoons for 4 servings.
